Skin Leaves is the newest work from Holly Johnston/LEDGES AND BONES. This 45-minute evening of dance narrates lived stories of bodies subjegated by patriarchy and heterosexism. These embodied stories arise from the flesh and bones of dance artists- Heather Cooper, Kara Davis, Raphael Boumailia and Holly Johnston. Skin Leaves is the culmination of a two-year research and development process with major artistic contributions by Katharine Hawthorne and Elizabeth Chitty. Music and sound design by Tim Russell with Lighting Design by John Garofalo. Skin Leaves is supported in part by The Rainin Foundation Opportunity Grant and by the generous contributions of individual donors.
